Squadron 749
Liberator Harry!!! What is it …
Saturday 17 December at the Community Centre of
Entrelacs was held a very special ceremony. Thirty youths (aged 12
to 19) demonstrated their military skills and paraded in front of
their very proud parents.
These were the Air Cadets of St-Donat,
Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci and Entrelacs. The Entrelacs youth seemed in
great form. They were : Marie-Hélène and Samuel Duval, Tommy Duval,
Danny and Alexandre Doyle, Titouan and Erwann Letourneur.
These youths decided to enroll in the Air Cadets
for stimulating activities such as gliding, military marching
exercises, team sports (basketball), first-aid, survival and music.
Also to experience the adventure and receive a training that will
serve them later on.

The cadets Sébastien Rivest, Jean-Danil Leroux and Alexandre
Doyle.
What they like the most: the military
exercises (the « drill »), the feeling of belonging to a group,
the piloting courses (as explained by Marie-Hélène) and music
(for Alexandre).
This activity is great to develop the
aptitudes of the youths in a friendly environment.
Everything is supplied by the Canadian Army,
though cadets and parents are invited to participate in the
financing of activities. For us, Serge Duval is the Financial
Director.
